Our Newest iPhone Release Tilt-a-Ball

Mine Shaft Entertainment has just released it's first iPhone title, Tilt-a-Ball into the market.   We started a simple project to learn the iPhone platform, and the idea actually turned out to be pretty  fun.  So we decided to take it to market as Tilt-a-Ball.  It is a brick breaker game that uses the accelerometer to control the ball instead of the traditional ball/paddle paradigm.  UPDATE: Tilt-a-Ball Lite has just been released into the App Store.  The Lite version lets you try a couple of the levels in the game for FREE!

Here is a review from appofmyeye.com

It’s always an honor when Game Industry vets like Rich Adam and Ed Rotberg from Mine Shaft Entertainment contact you for any reason.  These guys worked at Atari when it was on top of the video game arcade world in the late 70’s and early 80’s.  They have the original Missile Command and BattleZone listed to their credits.  Later, Rich also worked on the first versions of John Madden Football and PGA Golf Tour at EA.  Whether as producers, designers, or programmers, these guys did it all contributing to a craft that only a lucky few ever get to make into a career.  So, obviously, the pleasure was all mine when they asked if I would look at their Tilt-a-Ball game for the iPhone.  A brick breaker game with a twist: instead of a paddle, just use the accelerometer to tilt the device in the desired direction in which you want the ball to go.  With a bubble level tool built-in, use various brick types and special balls throughout the game to advance levels as well as your score before time runs out.  Overall, a simple yet well-executed concept, which you would come to expect from seasoned pros like these.

Spaceward Ho! for the iPhone

Mine Shaft Entertainment and Delta Tao are pleased to announce that Mine Shaft is currently in the process of converting the popular Delta Tao game Spaceward Ho! for release on to the iPhone platform.  Spaceward Ho! has legions of loyal devotees many of whom have inquired about its availability for the iPhone platform.  Since its market introduction in 1990, Spaceward Ho! has received worldwide acclaim including its induction into the Macworld Hall of Fame.

We are very excited and busy here at Mine Shaft to be working on a project of this caliber for the iPhone platform and we will provide updates about the coming availability of Spaceward Ho! to the App Store near you.
